Clingmans Dome
Located 6,643 feet above sea level, Clingmans Dome is the tallest point in the entire Great Smoky Mountains. In fact this is the highest point in the state of Tennessee and the third highest mountain range on the east side of the Mississippi River. Here you will be faced with beautiful scenic views of the surrounding park and truly amazing places to take pictures.
Deep Creek
World famous for its waterfalls and streams, Deep Creek is one of the best places in the entire park to take pictures. Whether you come to this location from Cherokee or Gatlinburg, there will be many gorgeous sights for you to take pictures of including the potential wildlife encounters, surrounding vegetation and amazing views.
Fontana Dam
If you’re looking for a great spot to take pictures, you don’t want to miss the Fontana Dam. As the largest dam in the eastern U.S., the dam is located 480 feet above the ground and provides some truly picturesque scenic views. With a reservoir of 11,700 acres, you might never again have a chance to take pictures like the ones at the Fontana Dam.
