A great resource for park staff members is the Great Smoky Mountains National Research Library that is also accessible by appointment for all visitors. Providing a long list of interesting historical information about the areas history, the library is definitely a great place to visit.
The library is located at the Sugarlands Visitor Center and is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Monday through Friday except weekends and federal holidays.
