Maybe you want to learn about the park’s rich history and educate yourself on the people that used to live in the beautiful mountains or maybe you simply want to enjoy the great outdoors?

To learn more about the former mountain residents, touring the Mountain Farm Museum, the Roaring Fork, Cataloochee or Cades Cove will give you amazing views of historic churches, farms, homes and other structures.

For the opportunity to take in the surrounding wildlife, like the white-tailed deer, wild turkey and black bears, Cataloochee or Cades Cove will give you a great chance of seeing a variety of different animals.

If you want to get a gorgeous picture of the many different scenic views, make sure to visit Newfound Gap or Clingmans Dome.

For a chance to get out of the heat and find a cool, sun free spot, check out the secluded forest areas of Roaring Rock or Deep Creek.
